New Police Chief in Hancock

The City of Hancock has a new police chief. Wayne Butler has been chosen to take over for the retiring Micheal Beaudoin, who served on the department for 38 years, including 26 as Chief of the Police Department. Butler, a Bruce Crossing native, began his career in Morrow, Georgia in 1995 and has served many departments, just recently in the criminal investigation division. City Manager Glenn Anderson says he looks forward to working with Butler to make the transition as seemless as possible. He is expected to start next week.
