The cost of prescription medication for many could be going down under a bill signed into law by the governor.
The new law requires insurers who provide prescription drug coverage to prorate the daily cost-sharing rate for patients who don’t use a full 30-day supply.
Governor Rick Snyder says the new law will help reduce costs by curbing waste of prescription medications.
The law also creates a program for patients to synchronize multiple prescriptions for a chronic health condition.
