Former Houghton City Manager Scott MacInnes has a new job title. He will now be working for the Michigan Municipal League as the Northern Field consultant. The role will have MacInnes assist municipalities in the U.P. and act as a liaison for the League. MacInnes adds that many of his experiences as Houghton city manager can be used for this new role.
MacInnes officially retired as Houghton’s City Manager on Sept. 19th of this year, which was his 40th anniversary of working for the city. He will take over for Caroline Kennedy, who left to serve as executive officer for the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area.
