New Charges Expected Against South Range VFW Robbery Suspect

New charges are expected in a case involving a robbery at a South Range bar.

Anderson, Sasha 236-year-old Sasha Anderson is accused of playing a role in the robbery of the South Range VFW in December.

Authorities are also still looking for 36-year old Clinton Jarriel in connection to the robbery.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says Anderson reported that someone confronted her as she was closing the bar and stole a large amount of money.

About a month later, Anderson was arrested and charged with making a false report of a felony.

At her preliminary hearing in 97th District Court on Wednesday, Prosecutor Michael Makinen dismissed the charge with the intent of refiling it with additional charges.

Anderson is expected to be arraigned on the new charges on Friday.

Jarriel, ClintonJarriel is being sought for a charge of larceny of more than $1,000 but less than $20,000.

His whereabouts are still unknown.
