Big news from the Auto Show as Ford unveiling an all aluminum alloy F-150 pickup truck. Joe Hinrichs, Ford President of the Americas, says a lot of the focus is around the aluminum body that is 700 pounds lighter than previous versions. He says, though, there are a lot more spiffs as well. For example there’s a 360-degree camera enabling the driver to see all the way around the truck. There are also charging stations in the cab so workers can charge their tools. The truck is slated to go into production in the fourth quarter and should be in the showroom by the end of the year.
