Negaunee Resident Appointed To Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board

Governor Rick Snyder has announced the appointment of Justin Carlson, of Negaunee, to the Iron Industry Museum Advisory Board.

Housed within the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the nine-member board advises the department on policies, plans and programs concerning the Negaunee Township-based Michigan Iron Industry Museum. It supports education programs and public use of the facility.

Snyder said he is confident Justin will be a strong board member who will do good work on behalf of the museum and the state.

Carlson will serve the remainder of a four-year term expiring Oct. 4, 2016. His appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
