It’s considered to be a safe way for citizens to dispose of their unwanted and unused prescription drugs. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is scheduled for this Saturday.
The Michigan State Police is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration in the one-day ‘take-back’ effort from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
All 29 MSP posts will be available to drop off prescription drugs with no questions asked and at no cost.
Any unwanted medications will be collected and destroyed by police.
Certain types of medications, including liquids, inhalers, patches and syringes will not be accepted.
