The Michigan State Police announced that over 500 pounds of prescription drugs were collected at MSP posts across the state during National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day last weekend. The MSP partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration and other local law enforcement agencies for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day to provide a safe, convenient and responsible venue for citizens to dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs. The Calumet post collected 10 pounds of prescription drugs while the Iron Mountain and Wakefield posts had 30 and 3 pounds, respectively.
