The verdict has been decided in the Nassiri murder case. The jury voted guilty on second-degree murder for the death of Nassiri’s wife, Senaz Nezami. As part of their deliberations, the jury did ask for photos from the hospital and the autopsy, as well as to listen to the 911 tape. Sentencing will be scheduled within 30 days. Because of the verdict, Nassiri is facing life in prison for his role in the domestic assault incident that took place last December. The case attracted international attention when caregivers at Marquette General Hospital were able to connect with Nezami’s family in Iran online during her final hours, and arranged to donate her organs.
