A team of nine Michigan Tech students are the winner of an award presented by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
The team participated in the EPA’s Sustainable Design Expo as part of the P3 program for People, Prosperity, and Planet in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.
There, they won the AIChE Youth Council on Sustainable Science and Technology P3 Award for having the most interdisciplinary and community engaged project that will have a significant impact on reducing the use of resources and be a benefit to youth.
The team also earned an Honorable Mention P3 Award from the EPA.
The team will travel to Salt Lake City in November to present their work at the AIChE institute’s student conference.
