“Concrete” and “canoe” doesn’t sound like a happy pairing, but Michigan Technological University students make it happen — and make big ripples when they do.
Along with the steel bridge construction crew, the teams will be taking their heavy-weight engineering to the American Society of Civil Engineers national competition in South Carolina this June.
Tech Today reports the concrete canoe team placed first in regional’s held in Toledo this weekend and the steel bridge team placed second.
