The Michigan Tech Board of Control will meet this morning at 9:00 in Ballroom B at the Memorial Union Building. The Board will elect a chair and vice-chair for the next 12 months, and is expected to approve a new Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management degree. Officials from the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science estimate that 10-20 students per year will enroll in the program. Board members will be asked to approve changes to the University’s Strategic Plan. The Board is expected to reduce its number of annual meetings from five to four by eliminating its August gathering. And, the Board is expected to change its name – from the Board of Control to the Board of Trustees. You can see this morning’s full agenda here.
