MSU Extension host online webinar to discuss impacts of tourism on the Upper Peninsula

Tourism has a large impact on the Upper Peninsula’s regional economy.

From families visiting in the summer to hike trails or camp in historic campgrounds, to groups of friends spending a weekend warming up in the sauna after a full day on the snowmobile.

Next week the MSU Extension Tourism Team plans to host the annual web series, Critical Conversations on Michigan Tourism. There are two community engagement opportunities, on January 8th, and the 15th.

Next Wednesday the group will lead a presentation on Creating Authentic Rural Tourism Experiences. The following webinar will cover, Love the Keweenaw: A Case Study of Grassroots Tourism Management.

Those interested in learning more about the MSU Extension tourism team or want to register for the webinar on the 8th and 15th can find more details here.
