The suspect involved in a stabbing in Hubbell appeared in Houghton County Circuit Court Thursday. Paul Moilanen is charged with second-degree murder for the death of 48-year-old Marcy LaVigne and the attempted murder of LaVigne’s daughter. He chose to stand mute on both counts. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled in 30 days.
