Michigan’s presidential primary is today.
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Voters do not have to be a member of a political party to participate.
Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says turnout could be higher than normal compared to earlier primaries.
She notes that as of late Friday, absentee ballots were running 35 percent ahead of the 2012 rate of return.
