Michigan Technological University Soft Launches Seminar Modules for Students

Michigan Tech Essential Education soft launches the Michigan Tech Seminer for shared modules this fall. The modules embedded in the Intro to the Major Seminar are included in large courses like ENG 101. The majors that do not currently offer a seminar course will have students take a university-wide seminar in the fall of 2025. The required assignment will require no more than one-third of a single credit hour, with about 15 hours of work in total. Eight of the nine modules will become available through Canvas Commons. The university anticipates the remaining modules will be available on September 6th. The modules included seminars for Welcome to College, Husky Points, Career Preparation, Time Management, Academic Planning, Stress Management, Loneliness, Reflection, and an Introduction to the Essential Abilities.
