Michigan Tech is undergoing a university-wide rebranding, which includes a new logo.
The public got its first look at the new logo Friday during an unveiling at the Van Pelt and Opie Library.
The logo was designed and created by Michigan Tech’s marketing team.
MTU President Glenn Mroz says the Husky statue that sits in the heart of campus inspired the new logo.
MTU Director of Marketing and Communications Ian Repp talks about the rebranding process.
University officials will spend the next 18 months implementing the new logo all throughout campus.
