Michigan Technological University highlights its new college ahead of the 2024-25 school year. Earlier this year the university introduced to the Institute of Computing and Cycbersystems the Center for Artificial Intelligence. The ICC hosts the center and has been led by Vinh Nguyen. The center has grown out of the ICC’s Data Science Center with a new focus on pioneering AI Research across various domains. The Center for Artificial Intelligence renews a focus on building on Michigan Tech’s strengths in Innovative research, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, External Partnerships, and AI education. Director of the Center Nyguen says that the accelerated advent of artificial intelligence presents exciting opportunities and challenges that Michigan Tech will proudly take on.
