After several years away from the area two Michigan Tech alum will return to the Copper Country. But this time to give back to the community. This Saturday the Omega House Benefit Concert invites the Crown Jewel a Queen tribute to the Rozsa Center stage. The band includes eight performers, including Michigan Tech alum Steve and Michelle Pritchard.
Yeah uphill forty-one and that was one of the places we still are when the bad cold and that that they could work uh… we’ve got a market in Ironwood early in iron mountain and credit to around u p on we got a look at the few times but we know we’re in school at the time we can go too far – Steve Pritchard, Guitar/Vocals, The Crown Jewel; A Tribute to Queen.
While still in school Pritchard played at several local venues in the Upper Peninsula. While working in Minnesota he began bringing Michelle on stage for backup vocals, bringing the couple closer. He says that the band likes to highlight Michelle, Erica Hanson, and other vocalists for deep cuts of Queen’s discography.
One of my favorites, Thirty-Nine, I don’t know if you know what’s on but it’s a kind of a coup de quesadilla Brian May wrote and what we do is we get one of our backup singers Erica to sing that one so we get the ladies up front for a couple of times to let them have a little fun – Steve Pritchard, Guitar/Vocals, The Crown Jewel; A Tribute to Queen.
The Omega House benefit concert supports the non-profit’s hospice fund which helps lower end-of-life care costs. Those interested in attending the concert can find more information at ticket details here.
