Michigan’s moved up Forbes’ ranking of best states for business.
The Great Lakes State ranks 30th in the annual Best States for Business, up 12 spots from 2013.
Forbes website notes that Michigan became a right-to-work state in 2013, repealed its business tax, rolled back taxes on business-owned property and restructured its incentive program to be more transparent.
However, Forbes says the state still has issues.
It says Michigan’s net migration out of the state is second highest in the nation, and its economic outlook is weak over the next five years.
