A new report shows, since the end of the Great Recession, Michigan has seen job growth of nearly 11 percent, better than the job growth of the other Great Lakes states.
The study from the Pew Charitable Trust’s Stateline publication said Michigan also showed the 10th largest overall growth in jobs since the recession, but because the state struggled the hardest during the recession, the state’s growth was among the most impressive.
Since the recession, Michigan has seen total job growth of almost 11 percent, adding nearly 418,000 jobs since the state’s lowest point in March 2010.
