A new analysis says Michigan ranks 20th in the country when it comes to the best place for a teacher to work.
The analysis was produced by Wallethub.com.
The ranking was based on 13 metrics, ranging from average starting salary to the unemployment rate to the projected number of teachers per student by 2022.
Michigan was 8th in the job opportunity and competition category, and 35th in the academic and work environment category.
Massachusetts ranked first. West Virginia was last.
