MI Veterans Helped By Trust Fund

The state says nearly 1,500 veterans and their families have been helped this year by grants from the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund.

The Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency says more than $1.6 million in grants were awarded during fiscal year 2015 to help with short-term financial emergencies.

Total grants of $6.5 million were distributed to more than 5,500 veterans between fiscal year 2013 and fiscal year 2015.
