A new report shows that health plans for state employees in Michigan are more generous when compared to the average for state workers in the rest of the country. The study was conducted for the Pew Charitable Trusts and the John D-and Catherine T-MacArthur Foundation. It also says that premiums for Michigan workers are lower, although those employees whose plans cover only themselves pay a higher share of the premium costs than their counterparts in other states. On the other hand, employees who have dependents on their plans in Michigan pay a smaller share than those in other states.
