Meth Lab Suspects Arraigned

Two people have been arraigned in a pair of meth lab raids that netted narcotics officers the largest single amount of meth-making materials ever captured in Marquette County. 37-year old Jessondra Pennala and 40-year old John Heribacka are each charged with two counts of operating/maintaing a meth lab in the presence of a minor. They were arrested on October 16 when Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team detectives raided homes in the city of Ishpeming and Ishpeming Township. Authorities say the two locations were within a few miles of each other and suspects were in a dating relationship and working together to produce the drugs. Heribacka and Pennala are scheduled for a preliminary exam on November 3.
