On this Memorial Day, we take a moment to remember those who have served our country.
Today may not be a pleasant day for barbeques and picnics, but pleasant days were also hard to come by on the beaches of Normandy, in the jungles of Korea and Vietnam, or the in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan.
A moment of silence at yesterday’s service was offered after the names of departed veterans were read aloud.
A special tribute was given for those who are lost, but will never be forgotten.
