Medical marijuana patients in Michigan who set up their marijuana registry card online may now begin purchasing the cannabis supplies they need immediately. A rules change by the Marijuana Regulatory Agency allows the patient to use the email they receive upon approval of their application as a temporary permit, until the actual registry card arrives. MRA Executive Director Andrew Brisbo says the old process took up to several weeks.
A valid driver’s license or government-issued identification photo ID card is also required to purchase marijuana. For more details about the expedited registry, click here, email MRA-MMMPinfo@michigan.gov or call 517-284-6400.
