MDOT Needs “Road Watchers”

The first signs of winter have arrived and the Michigan Department of Transportation has begun preparing for maintenance projects. However, MDOT is still looking for volunteer Road Watchers to give feedback on how well MDOT crews are maintaining highways in the Upper Peninsula this winter. MDOT’s Superior Region is recruiting regular commuters willing to complete brief online surveys about road conditions after winter weather events. Routes include US-41 between Calumet and the Portage Lake Lift Bridge as well as from the Bridge to Herman Road, south of L’Anse. To get more information, or to sign up to be a Superior Region Road Watcher, click here.
