The Michigan Department of Transportation is recruiting drivers as part of a new initiative designed to get feedback on construction projects throughout metro-Detroit and the rest of the state. MDOT’s website calls the group the ‘Road Watchers’, and their purpose would be to give thorough feedback on how certain projects are impacting their commutes. MDOT says the ‘Road Watchers’ are asked to answer nine questions about their experience driving through specific construction zones. MDOT does warn though, that because the initiative is just getting started, it may be a few months before suggested changes are made at the particular sites.
