A 25-year veteran at the Michigan Department of Transportation is moving on.
M-DOT Chief Operating Officer Greg Johnson has been named as the new State Highway Administrator for the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Johnson joined M-DOT as a staff engineer in the MDOT Southwest Region in 1989. He has served as M-DOT’s COO since February of 2009.
Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master’s Degree in public administration from Western Michigan University.
He will begin his new job, helping to oversee 3,000 employees and more than 16,000 miles of roads, on September 16th.
