MDOT Asks Drivers to Point Out Potholes

The extreme winter weather over the past couple of weeks has led to large increase in the number of potholes on Michigan roads and highways. The pavement is damaged by the “freeze/thaw” process and temperatures have been well above freezing for the past several days. The Michigan Department of Transportation is asking drivers to help them identify problem spots. Drivers can go to to the MDOT website and select the road where they have encountered a problem. M-DOT reminds motorists they only repair potholes on freeways with an “M” “I” or “US” designation like M-26 or US 41.
