Marquette County Judge Solka To Retire

Another Upper Peninsula judge is calling it a career at the end of this year.

Solka, Judge ThomasJudge Thomas Solka, Chief Judge of the 25th Circuit and Marquette County Probate Courts announced that he will be retiring at the end of his current term of office in December.

Solka currently serves the Family Division of the Circuit Court.

He will have been on the bench for 18 years by the time he leaves.

Marquette County will be losing a judgeship once Solka retires according to state legislation that reduces and reallocates judgeships across the state.
