Man Found Dead After Marquette House Fire

One man was found dead Sunday morning after a house fire in the city of Marquette.

Around 7:30 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a structure fire on the 400 block of E. Ohio Street.

While battling the fire, the Marquette City Fire Department found the body of 59-year-old John Scott Sonaglia.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and is still under investigation.

The Marquette Township Fire Department, UP Health System EMS and the Michigan State Police all assisted at the scene.
