An Ontonagon man is in jail on multiple charges including attempted murder.
The Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Timothy Wayne Pietila was arrested Wednesday morning around 1:45 a.m. He is charged with attempted murder, first degree criminal sexual conduct, assault by strangulation, and felony firearm. Pietila is being held without bond.
Police say the incident is still under investigation. We will have more details as they become available.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the arrest by officers from the Department of Natural Resources and Michigan State Police Troopers.
