Michigan’s business, political and philanthropic leaders are descending on Mackinac Island beginning today for the Detroit Regional Chamber’s annual Mackinac Policy Conference.
While the conference has a set agenda; road funding, no-fault auto insurance and repealing prevailing wage could all come up for discussion – on the record or off.
Featured speakers at the conference include Mike Rowe (Row) of the Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs” and Doris Kearns Goodwin, author of “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.”
The conference runs today through Friday.
