M-28 Road Work Begins June 1st

It’s definitely construction season…

Another project to watch out for is a stretch of M-28 in Houghton and Baraga Counties.

The Michigan Department of Transportation will be resurfacing and filling cracks on 15.8 miles of M-28 in Houghton County from the Ontonagon/Houghton county line to Kitchie Road, and in Baraga County from the Baraga/Houghton county line to Leo Road South.

The $1.3 million project will require lane closures under flag control.

Work gets underway June 1st and is expected to be completed by the end of July.
