Work will begin Wednesday on M-189 south of Iron River. A six-and-a-half mile stretch of the highway between the city and the Wisconsin border will be resurfaced. Traffic will sometimes be reduced to a single lane under flag control. The Michigan Department of Transportation hopes to complete the project by the end of June. (Todd VanDyke)
