Lt. Gov. Candidate Brown Visits U.P.

Mark Schauer’s running mate, Lisa Brown, made a few stops this afternoon in Houghton to speak with supporters about issues with education. Along side Representative Scott Dianda, she spoke to people at Victoria’s Kitchen about the lack of K-12 funding and how it has effected the classrooms.

In regards to higher education, Brown addressed the exponential increase in tuition rates and the idea of allowing students to re-finance their student loans.

Brown will continue her U.P. tour with stops in Menominee, Escanaba and Marquette.
