LSSU Classes To Start At 9am

Lake Superior State University in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula says no classes will start earlier than 9 a.m. beginning in the fall.

LSSU officials believe it will be easier for faculty and administrators to schedule meetings and students will have more time to study if virtually all classes start at the later time.

LSSU’s director of public relations, Tom Pink, says he’s taught classes at 7:30 a.m. and at 8 a.m. and those time slots were less popular and most the students in those classes weren’t there by choice.

Some special classes could still take place before 9 a.m.
