Local Road commissions will modify load restrictions starting next week. The Copper Country’s road commission announced in a joint statement earlier this week that restrictions will be modified to allow normal load limits on paved roads, and most gravel roads throughout Baraga, Hoguhton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon counties. Some roads will remain restricted for the spring-thaw cycle. Please contact your local road commission officer for specific details related to your travel route.
