Middle and High School girls will take part in Engineering Exploration Day tomorrow at Michigan Tech’s Great Lakes Research Center.
The students will hear a presentation by 1st year Engineering Fundamentals instructor Amy Monte on MTU’s 1st Year College Engineering Curriculum and a presentation called The Personal (and Other) Rewards of an Engineering Career by Dr. Adrienne Minerick.
The 26 girls will also take part in numerous activities and take a tour of the chemical engineering lab.
The event is free and sponsored by Michigan Tech’s College of Engineering, Engineering Fundamentals, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, the student chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the Western UP Center for Science, Mathematics & Environmental Education and the Great Lakes Research Center.
