Woman Injured In Snowmobile Crash Near Mass City

An Illinois woman was injured in a snowmobile accident on Tuesday in Ontonagon County.

Deputies from the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Office were called out to Trail #3 in Mass City shortly after 2:30pm.

74-year-old Judi Ann Young of Boloit, Illinois was traveling on Trail #3 when her ski caught a large chunk of ice which caused the snowmobile to overturn and ejected her from it.

Young was injured in the accident and was taken to Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital by Sonco Ambulance for treatment.

Her condition was not reported.

Speed and Alcohol were not factors in the crash.
