Woman Hurt in Keweenaw County Snowmobile Crash

A woman was badly injured in a snowmobile crash Saturday afternoon in Keweenaw County.

Sheriff’s Department officials say the woman’s sled left Trail Three about two miles south of Gratiot Lake Road around 5:00, and hit a tree.

The driver was taken to a hospital in Duluth for treatment. Her identity has not been released.

Ahmeek Rescue, Mercy Ambulance and a Keweenaw Snowmobile Club groomer driver assisted at the scene.

Another snowmobile crash caused some minor injuries in Ontonagon County yesterday evening. The incident took place in Greenland Township around 6:30. No additional details are available.
