A Wisconsin man is facing charges in Ontonagon County after he was arrested following a hit and run accident.
The accident happened on Sunday just before 7:00am when Mass City resident Larry Umlor was traveling west on M-38, about a half mile west of Plank Road, when his vehicle was struck from behind.
Umlor was forced off the right side of the road and turned 180 degrees around, traveling 100 ft and came to rest in the ditch.
The other vehicle did not stop at the accident scene.
An investigation revealed it was a older model Black Chevrolet Avalanche.
Authorities were told to be on the lookout for the suspect in Ontonagon and Gogebic Counties.
Someone called to report he saw the vehicle at an Ontonagon business.
A DNR Conservation Officer contacted the driver and escorted him to the Ontonagon County Sheriff Office.
The driver, a 24 yr old Green Bay, WI resident was arrested for failure to stop at a Property Accident.
He was released on $1,000 @ 10% bond and is scheduled to appear on June 11th in 98th District Court at 9:00am.
