Window Decorating Contest Will Help Spread Holiday Cheer In Hancock

When shoppers visit downtown Hancock this holiday season, they’re going to see plenty of decorated windows to help spread the cheer.

That’s because the Keweenaw Culture Project has teamed up with the City of Hancock to introduce the Hancock Holiday Window Display Competition.

Those with an artistic eye and holiday spirit are invited to apply to decorate one of the vacant windows along Quincy Street in downtown Hancock.

Selected artists will be given a small budget for supplies and a lot of encouragement to decorate the window for the holidays.

Applications are due by November 15th and the windows will be unveiled to the public on December 16th.

Details can be found on the City of Hancock website.
