The sale of an Upper Peninsula mine has again been delayed.
Highland Copper Company and Copper Range Company have agreed to extend the period to complete the acquisition of the White Pine project to December 2nd, 2016.
According to a statement released by Highland, the final closing of the acquisition is subject to releasing Copper Range for financial assurance and certain environmental obligations associated with the remediation and closure plan of the historical White Pine mine site in a manner that is acceptable to all parties involved, including applicable governmental authorities.
Highland Copper Company is a Canadian exploration company focused on exploring and developing copper projects within the Upper Peninsula.
