Weyerhaeuser Donates $10,000 to PHF’s Flood with Love Initiative

[Hancock, MI] The Portage Health Foundation (PHF) has continued to receive generous donations for their Flood with Love initiative that is helping homeowners get into safe, healthy homes.

PHF received a generous donation from Weyerhaeuser of $10,000 to support this initiative.

“Citizenship is one of the core values of our company, so we think it is important to lend a helping hand to one of our local communities in need both through employee volunteerism and through a financial contribution,” said Charlie Becker, Area Manager for Weyerhaeuser.

“Weyerhaeuser is a community partner that wants to see its neighbors in Houghton County get back on their feet,” said Chelsea Goodreau, PHF’s Marketing and Communications Coordinator. “Our mission is to do the most good for the most people through our Flood with Love initiative, and we believe we can achieve that because of partners like Weyerhaeuser.”

PHF’s tagline is “You make the difference. Together we make it possible” and this could not be truer than right now. The success of the Flood with Love initiative is because of collaboration and partnerships like we have seen throughout the flood relief efforts
