Road construction season is getting underway. The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced four bridge projects that will be undertaken this summer. In each case, the road deck will be replaced, along with structural repairs and roadway approach work. The first will involve US-45 over Roselawn Creek, just north of Paulding.
Work is scheduled to begin Monday. Traffic will be reduced to one lane, with an automated signal.
One of the other three projects will be on US-141 at the East Branch of the Net River, between Covington and Amasa.
The remaining two projects are on M-64 between Ontonagon and Silver City – one at the Floodwood River, and the other at Halfway Creek.
Start dates for the remaining three projects have not yet been announced.
