Volunteers Needed For MTU Disaster Exercise

Volunteers are needed for a full-scale disaster exercise that will be held on the Michigan Tech campus Thursday, May 9.

The exercise is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and volunteers will be needed from 2 to 8 p.m.

In order for the exercise to be successful, approximately 100 volunteers will be needed.

Volunteers will portray victims for EMS triage, victims to be transported to local hospitals, campus evacuees, concerned/grieving family members and exercise support personnel.

The Incident Command Team hopes students, faculty and staff will consider volunteering in order to make this exercise a high-quality learning experience.
