Volunteers Needed For Chronic Pain Relief Study

UP Health System – Portage and Michigan Tech are teaming up to compare various methods of charging pain-treatment implants for patients with chronic back and lower limb pain.

The results of this study will be used to create a new charging system for patients who have pain-mediating implants.  The primary goal is to determine the most comfortable charging system.

Michigan Tech is currently looking for participants in the study on February 7th from 5:30 – 7:30 at UP Health System – Portage.

Eligible volunteers will receive a $20 gift card.

To be eligible, patients must have chronic pain…lasting for more than 30 days…in the back, legs, or feet.  Volunteers do not need an implant to be eligible.  The study will last approximately one hour and take place in one session.

The insight shared will help bring comfort to individuals living with chronic pain.

If you would like to participate, please email heeyrich@mtu.edu or call 331.442.1426.
